WannaFlix for Netflix, HBO & Disney+: Streaming Guide

Compare WannaFlix’s published streaming support, Netflix regions, HBO and Disney+ claims, and reliability limits before choosing a plan for China.

By China Online Ready · Updated

Want to keep watching your shows during a trip to China? WannaFlix advertises regional Netflix access and several other streaming services, but the useful question is whether it supports your particular platform, library, and device. Start with the table below, then check the setup and purchase conditions for that combination.

Official sources checked on 8 September 2026. We have not independently tested streaming playback, speeds, or reliability in China. We may earn a commission if you buy through our WannaFlix links.

Which streaming services does WannaFlix list?

The official FAQ lists the main services below, and the Netflix-specific FAQ dates its regional list to September 2026. This is published support, not a live playback test.

Additional legacy claims below come from the older purchase FAQ.

Platform What the official pages list What to establish before buying
Netflix 13 regions in the September 2026 Netflix FAQ The library and titles you want, your Netflix plan, and the recommended server
HBO / HBO Max The official FAQ names HBO Whether the current HBO Max app and your account region are supported; the old HBO label is insufficient
Disney+ Listed in the official FAQ and server status table A recent result for your region and device; the table alone is not current confirmation
Hulu Listed in the official FAQ Your account eligibility, on-demand versus live content, and supported device
Amazon Prime Video Amazon Prime in the official FAQ; US Amazon Prime in the older purchase FAQ The specific regional catalog, title, and account you intend to use
BBC iPlayer Listed in the official FAQ Whether the proposed server currently supports playback on your device
Other channels and audio services The older FAQ names ABC, NBC, ESPN, ITV, Channel 4, Pandora, and Spotify Current support for the exact service, rather than assuming every channel is included

Netflix: which regions are advertised?

The Netflix-specific FAQ explicitly lists 13 regions as of September 2026:

  • Americas: United States, Canada, Brazil.
  • Europe: United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands.
  • Asia: Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore.
  • Africa: South Africa.

That makes WannaFlix worth considering if your viewing needs extend beyond a US or UK library. The same page says not every server location is intended for Netflix and invites requests for unlisted regions by support ticket. These remain the provider’s support claims, not a guarantee that every title or account will work.

The general FAQ and older purchase pages contain different lists; use the dated Netflix-specific page as the starting point. In particular, the older purchase page still names Russia. Netflix’s own availability page says its service is unavailable in China and Russia, making the Russia claim a concrete sign that the older list needs rechecking.

For a Japan-library request, for example, ask about the title and Japanese audio or subtitles you want. A successful connection to a Japanese server is not a complete playback test.

Netflix also explains its VPN restrictions: a VPN connection may show only globally licensed titles, and VPNs are not supported for its ad-supported experience or live events. Buying WannaFlix does not remove those account and playback restrictions.

Does WannaFlix work with HBO Max?

WannaFlix includes HBO in its general FAQ, but does not specify the current HBO Max app or a region-by-region compatibility list there. Specify the app name, account country, and device when asking WannaFlix about it. Its public status table does not include an HBO column.

HBO Max’s travel and availability guidance says streaming depends on supported destinations and that VPN or proxy addresses may be blocked. It also describes downloading shows before travel. If downloads are available with your plan, prepare them before departure and stay signed in on that device.

What about Disney+?

Disney+ is explicitly listed in WannaFlix’s general FAQ. For regional selection, its status table distinguishes Netflix and Disney+ regions on the same server. For example, its “Streaming” row displays US for Netflix and HK for Disney+. This illustrates why a server name is not a universal streaming-region selector.

At our check, the status page said its last check was more than 399,000 minutes ago. We do not treat its ONLINE labels or region codes as proof of today’s playback. Ask for the current Disney+ server recommendation before choosing a subscription mainly for Disney+.

Server locations versus streaming libraries

The features page advertises 18 locations across 16 countries, using the provider’s count. Its homepage lists these destinations:

Area Published server destinations
Americas Brazil, Canada, United States
Europe France, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom
Asia-Pacific Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan
Africa and the Middle East South Africa, Turkey

This is network coverage, not a promise of 16 Netflix libraries or HBO Max availability in every location. Use it to narrow your questions, then get a recommendation for the streaming service itself. Older landing pages publish different network totals; check the selectable locations in the current service before paying for a particular destination.

How strong are the stability and 4K claims?

WannaFlix’s homepage promotes continuous network optimization, HD/4K streaming, and avoiding overselling. Its China page also describes an Asia-focused network and advertises 99% uptime. Those claims explain the service’s positioning, but they do not measure the chance that a particular Netflix or HBO episode will play on your hotel Wi-Fi.

The service terms explicitly say that speeds, locations, and quality can vary and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We found no platform-specific restoration deadline or streaming uptime measurement in those terms. Treat connection uptime, access to a regional catalog, and sustained video quality as three separate checks.

What support and maintenance does the provider describe?

The general FAQ describes Tier-1 bandwidth, direct peering with Chinese ISPs, and English/Chinese support. It says support replies within 24 hours, usually sooner; that is a response claim, not a promise to restore a blocked platform within a day. Use the official support ticket form for your account and playback details.

Its connection troubleshooting guide explains that blocked servers may be replaced and advises refreshing the subscription’s server list. This is a useful maintenance step when a previously working node stops responding. Follow the update instructions for your chosen client rather than importing a stranger’s configuration.

Is the VIP service a streaming upgrade?

The separate VIP page describes ISP-prioritized dedicated lines for evening streaming. It presents a metered add-on requiring an existing subscription, with a limited seven-day refund policy for a first purchase using less than 20 GB. Its Netflix claims also vary within the page: the introduction names the US and Japan, while the FAQ adds Hong Kong.

Do not assume this is included in the standard plan or currently available on the same terms. If support recommends VIP for your connection, obtain the current allowance, total cost, supported library, and refund conditions before ordering. An old upgrade page is not sufficient grounds to pay for two subscriptions.

Prepare the device you will actually watch on

For phones and laptops, the current features page lists Clash Verge for Windows, FlClash for Mac, Shadowrocket for iOS, and Clash Meta for Android. It advertises five simultaneous connections. Our WannaFlix buying guide covers client requirements and possible separate application costs.

For a hotel television, Apple TV, or console, request instructions for that exact device first. The general FAQ describes SmartDNS for televisions and consoles, but its setup references include older protocols. Get the current instructions and confirm inclusion for the plan you select. Testing on your phone does not verify the television’s connection.

WannaFlix supplies the connection service. It does not include paid Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, or other streaming memberships. Keep the platform’s subscription, account-region requirements, and device support in your budget and plan.

A practical streaming check before committing to a longer plan

Use this sequence for the service you care about most:

  1. Define the viewing target. Note the platform, desired library, one or two titles, required audio/subtitles, and your playback device.
  2. Get a specific server recommendation. Send those details to support, together with your destination and whether you will use mobile data or hotel Wi-Fi. Ask whether the standard subscription is sufficient.
  3. Test an episode, not just the homepage. On your own account, confirm the title appears, starts, seeks, and keeps playing for 15–20 minutes. Check the picture quality and language options you need. This is a suggested test, not one we have performed.
  4. Repeat on arrival. A pre-departure result checks your configuration. Try again on the actual network in China and at the time you normally watch.
  5. Keep a useful failure record. Note the server name, device, client version, time, and playback error. Share these privately with support; do not post subscription URLs or login details.

For a Netflix-only problem, the official troubleshooting guide suggests restarting the app or browser and checking the connection’s region. Search for your target title rather than judging a region change solely by the homepage recommendations. If you clear cookies as part of troubleshooting, have your sign-in details ready.

If evening viewing fails while ordinary websites still work, report it as a streaming or performance problem rather than simply “the VPN is down.” Ask whether another supported server is available and what happens if the platform cannot be restored within your purchase’s refund window.

Choosing a plan for streaming

Start with a subscription length that matches your trip and the evidence you have for your viewing needs. The homepage displays US-dollar billing of $9.97 monthly, $49.95 for six months, and $83.88 for twelve months. These are advertised totals checked on 8 September 2026, not a verified checkout quote. Compare the amount due today and renewal terms before paying.

The terms describe a 30-day initial-purchase refund window requested through a support ticket, with payment-specific conditions and restrictions after account changes. The older trial FAQ says taking its trial removes that guarantee. Read our billing and refund explanation before choosing a trial or a longer commitment.

Sources and review date

Linked provider pages and streaming-platform help pages were checked on 8 September 2026. Historical marketing claims are identified above; this date does not turn them into new service tests. The status table’s old check time is why no server here is labeled “working today.”
